The B Family

It was my privilege to take pictures of this family again this year.  I cannot believe their kids have grown so much in one year!!  They are always so fun to be around...even if the Dad doesn't like to take pictures (we'll forgive him though) ;)

What a good lookin bunch!

The boys!

I Love Family

I love my family. Not only are we an extremely good looking bunch, but they always let me take pictures of them when we get together. It is so fun to take them out and try out new places and poses. Here are some I took of them recently:
Such cute girls!!

This is the first time I have got to take pictures of this cutie.  She was all smiles for every pose.  I love babies like this!!

Love, love, LOVE this picture.  It makes me want to plant a ton of wildflowers in my backyard!

Some sweet pictures with Dad and Mom.

What a fun time we had!

Yellowstone

During my husband's family reunion we took a day trip over to Yellowstone.  It had been several years since we had been there and I wanted to get some pictures.  Yellowstone is pretty much one big steaming valley! =)  I had a good time, but after a while the kids would say "Look, another steaming hole in the ground".  Here are some pictures I took.

I loved the thermal pools.  Such beautiful, vivid color.  Don't get too close though, these bad boys are hot, hot, hot.

It's crazy how you have beautiful colorful pools in some areas and then other areas look like a barren wasteland.

What gives the thermal pools their color is the bacteria that can survive there.  I took a closeup of this bacteria, I loved the color!

Of course we had to see Old Faithful.

This is the first time I have seen the Lower Falls.  I don't know what makes the water green here.

Here are several of the geysers.

This one looked like two eyes and a nose!

And, we were able to see a little bit of wildlife.

Engagement Photos

I did my first engagement photo shoot ever!!  I have decided that I love to shoot couples.  What could be better than working with two people who are so in love and happy?  It was a lot of fun working with these two, and here are a few of my favorites from the shoot.

I "LOVE" how this one turned out!!

Such a cute couple.

Such a fun (and different) shoot.  I wish these two a lot of love and happiness in the future!

The Butterfly

I am priviledged to be friends with a lady named Rebecca Hyde.  She was recently named the best artist in Colorado Springs.  Check out her awesome work here.  This year she was chosen to participate in the 4th annual Butterflies & Friends project for the Colorado Springs Rotary Club.  Artists are given a blank butterfly sculpture to convert into public pieces of art.  She asked me to take pictures of her sculpture, I was honored.  I have never taken pictures of art before, and it was a whole new ballgame.  Her sculpture will be on display at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort for the next few months, go check it out!!

Her butterfly is titled "Unbound"

Isn't it beautiful?

One of the things I love most about it is that every inch of it is interesting.

I mean, look at this.  It could be a painting all on its own!

Please go check out her butterfly, and the many other butterflies around town, they are beautiful!

Glad To Be Shooting Again!

I'm so glad that winter (it seems) is finally over. I have been dying to get my camera out! I met this wonderful family this evening and had a great time snapping pictures of them. It's great to be shooting again! Here is a sneak peek of their photo shoot:

They are so photogenic! I love families with lots of boys, I can totally relate to them.

Love, love, LOVE seeing siblings having fun and laughing together!

This place had some really cool and really big trees.

A sweet picture of Mom and Dad with the kids goofing off in the background!

I had a lot of fun with you guys today, and I can't wait to show you the rest of the pictures.
