I have some more photo shoots to post, but I am taking a break from family shoots(for a minute) to show you this:
This is a book cover I designed for the fabulous Maureen Mullis. I love it when I get the chance to use Photoshop for things besides editing pictures. I think the cover turned out great, and I am so excited to read the book!! Here is a synopsis of her book:
In 1902 Aalborg, Denmark, life is hard for the Pederson family. Eight-year-old Jens has started working to help his mother and his older brothers and sister provide for their family. With angry adults around him, a bully at school out to get him, and his teacher assigning a dreaded essay, Jens has far too much to worry about.
But Christmas is fast approaching. With their meager earnings, the Pederson family begins preparations for the Christmas feast. Learning the true meaning of faith and hope as he helps with the plans, Jens has but one wish: to make this holiday the best one ever for his family. A Christmas to remember.
Maureen is a fantastic writer who has a knack for writing about people and their relationships. She really has a way of bringing characters to life and getting the reader to have a vested interest in how the story turns out. Her talent is awe inspiring to me, and I love to read her work. She has published four books to date and is always writing wonderful short stories on her blog. You can visit her website at
http://maureenmullis.blogspot.com/, and her books are available on Smashwords, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble. I highly recommend her work, and I think this book is the perfect way to start the holiday season. Go download it today!
