The In-Between Shots

Some of my favorite shots from a photo shoot are the "in-between shots". The ones that I snap in between the more formal poses. They aren't posed and a lot of times the subjects aren't even looking. They are more natural and more "real life" than the ones that often make it up on the wall. I love them!!

You just don't get these shots in a studio.

My Family

Amidst all the picture taking for other people, I found time to take pictures of my family. I'd much rather take pictures of someone else than be in front of the camera myself.

She looks so big to me in this picture.

I think they turned out well, and I'll be looking at them up on my wall for the next year!

Baby Announcement

When I say "baby announcement" I am not making the announcement that I am pregnant, just that I made a baby announcement for someone. =) Here it is, and I took all the pictures for it too!

If This Isn't Real Life...

...then I don't know what is. I love this picture. No, it's not perfectly posed, and the subjects aren't smiling perfectly up at the camera. But I think this picture describes brothers to a T. I've got three boys of my own, and I'd say they look like this more often than not!

Last One, I Think

This family asked me several months ago if I could take their pictures. Thanks to the warm weather we are having lately, we could still go out in the middle of October. It was gorgeous!! I think this will be my last shoot of the year because this weather can't hold out much longer. Here are a few from the shoot:

I bought a frame to use in the pictures, you'll have to let me know what you think of it.

She is soooo pretty!

My boys love to arm wrestle too, I love this one!

Enjoy!

Superman

I had another photo shoot today. This crew was a lively bunch and kept me on my toes!! I got some great shots of them though. Here are a few:

I really like this one.

Look at that smile, I could just eat him up!

And this little fellow is close to my heart. I have watched him grow for the past four years. When I was his church leader he would often sit by me in the back of the primary room. He is diagnosed with autism and just recently muscular dystrophy. That's a big burden for those shoulders to carry. I think his little spirit must be stronger than Superman.

Mom - I can't wait until you see the rest!

The Sign Says It All
