Some of my favorite shots from a photo shoot are the "in-between shots". The ones that I snap in between the more formal poses. They aren't posed and a lot of times the subjects aren't even looking. They are more natural and more "real life" than the ones that often make it up on the wall. I love them!!
Amidst all the picture taking for other people, I found time to take pictures of my family. I'd much rather take pictures of someone else than be in front of the camera myself.

I think they turned out well, and I'll be looking at them up on my wall for the next year! ...then I don't know what is. I love this picture. No, it's not perfectly posed, and the subjects aren't smiling perfectly up at the camera. But I think this picture describes brothers to a T. I've got three boys of my own, and I'd say they look like this more often than not!
This family asked me several months ago if I could take their pictures. Thanks to the warm weather we are having lately, we could still go out in the middle of October. It was gorgeous!! I think this will be my last shoot of the year because this weather can't hold out much longer. Here are a few from the shoot:
